As important as the ExviTech platform itself, Vivia has the necessary know-how for the correct functioning and adaptation of the platform. Vivia’s team includes the group of scientists who originally developed the technology jointly with Juan Ballesteros in the United States. For more than three years, this team has been carrying out the routine screening of thousands of drugs using the ExviTech platform, representing a highly validated industrial chain.
At its core, the team is made up of three individuals. In addition to Juan Ballesteros the engineer who invented the core technology, whose company in the US provides and develops the EPS technology. This technology is an essential part of the platform responsible for automating flow cytometry. Teresa A. Bennett was responsible for screening in the past few years and has come to Spain as Research Vice President to implement this new process. Coyt Jackson is the engineer who developed part of the systems used in the platform and who has also come to Spain as Head of Bioinformatics and Automation at Vivia Biotech.
